Issue #157 All About Email

Part Three - Email Love Figma Plugin → HTML Email Builder

Hi, friend. 👋

Welcome to Issue #157 of All About Email!

Last week, I shared my final summer guest post from Megan Boshuyzen.

Over the last couple of years, Megan has become a friend and is one of the best email developers around (and she’s so much more than that).

This week was meant to be the final part of our mini-series on the new Email Love Figma plugin, but Andrew released more updates!

So, we will cover those now and complete the series next week. 😉

(I need to record a video to complete the series, but we’ve had builders and roofers at our house for two weeks.)

Let’s go! 👇

Feature Updates

If you are joining our mini-series for the first time friend, I’ve included links at the bottom of this email to Parts One and Two.

Since starting this mini-series, Andrew has released many updates to the plugin, and I’d like to cover some of the bigger ones.

This is so cool! 😎 👇

A Tighter Integration with Email Love

This feature isn’t available for all emails yet, but if you see a Figma icon (as in the image below), you can take an email from Email Love and edit it in Figma! 🎉

The alt text for the highlighted icon in the image is "Features". This icon appears to be a small square with a stylized representation of a brush or paintbrush inside it, indicating it's related to design features or attributes of the email. The icon is highlighted with a red square and arrow pointing to it, drawing attention to the "FEATURES:" section of the email metadata.

Andrew has made a quick video showcasing how it works, and you can watch it on LinkedIn or X. 👇

New Integration with Klaviyo!

🎉 You can now seamlessly edit your Email Love templates directly within Klaviyo’s drag-and-drop email builder.

This image shows an interface for creating an email campaign using a service called Klaviyo. The interface is split into two main sections: 1. On the left side, there's a menu for adjusting various style elements of the email, such as text area padding, background color, border, and block padding. 2. On the right side, there's a preview of the email being designed. The preview shows: - A background image of boats in a marina - An editable "H1 Headline" text - A "Sub Header" text - Some Lorem Ipsum placeholder text - A red button labeled "ADD YOUR CTA" (Call To Action) At the top of the interface, there's a header showing "Email Campaign - Aug 29, 2024, 10:33 AM" and options to manage the template and move to the next step. The interface appears to be a drag-and-drop email builder, allowing users to customize their email campaigns visually.

I will be doing a deep dive on this integration in another email.

And a fresh integration with Iterable to make your email design process even smoother.

Building A Responsive Email In Under 17-Minutes

Whilst not a new feature, this latest video (see what I did there, friend 😉) from Email Love is superb!

⚡️ A real-time video exploring pre-built components to customizing your design, uploading images, styling text, and previewing your email.

🎉 Finally, Andrews shows you how to seamlessly export your email to your ESP.

That’s it for this week 👋

⏭️ Next week, we will continue our mini-series in the final part (unless Andrew brings out more updates) of the Figma to Email plugin from Email Love. ❤️
